The fiancé of a Colorado mom who vanished on Thanksgiving Day has been arrested on suspicion of murdering the 29-year-old mother of two.
Woodland Park Police Department confirmed in a press release that Patrick Frazee, 32, was detained without incident on suspicion of first-degree murder and solicitation to murder in the first degree in the death of 29-year-old Kelsey Berreth.
According to the Woodland Park Police Department, Frazee is not the only suspect. During the press conference, authorities confirmed that more arrests are possible and that “cell phone records and other data led to Frazee’s arrest.”
Kelsey went missing on Thanksgiving Day in November 2108. Just 29-year-old, Kelsey was a pilot and mother of one. She was last seen at the Safeway near Woodland Park, Colorado, getting groceries.
Authorities have been avidly searching for the missing Berreth since they caught wind of her bizarre disappearance. On November 25, Berreth’s phone pinged in Gooding, Idaho, over 700 miles away from where she went missing.
On that same day, texts from Kelsey’s phone were sent to her employer, Doss Aviation, saying she would not be at work for the next week.
Her mother, Cheryl Berreth, had early suspicions that this act was foul play. Her mother was the one to report Kelsey missing on December 2nd, 2018- 10 days after she was last seen. This caused her to ask provoking questions about why Frazee had not alerted police previously.
Stay tuned for more to come. Kelsey has still not been discovered but is presumed dead. Her infant daughter is currently being held in custody.
