On December 31st, 2018, prosecutors filed multiple formal criminal charges against Patrick Frazee. Frazee, who was arrested weeks after his fiancé went missing, was charged with two counts of murder and three counts of solicitation to commit murder.
The first degree felonies that Patrick Frazee is being charged with come after the bizarre disappearance of the 29-year-old mother, Kelsey Berreth.
Kelsey, who was last seen on Thanksgiving Day, was reported missing ten days after Thanksgiving by her mother. Frazee, who also shares an infant daughter with Kelsey, regretted to report Kelsey missing.
On December 21st, nearly two weeks of leading the police on a goose chase to find his fiancé, Patrick Frazee was arrested. He was charged with suspicion of first-degree murder and solicitation to commit first-degree murder.
As of January 2019, Kelsey Berreth is still missing but is believed to no longer be alive. Authorities have discovered very little about her in her resident town of Woodland Park. However, days after her disappearance, her cell phone made a mysterious call more than 600 miles away in Gooding, Idaho. Her employer also received a text in the early days of her disappearance stating that she would not be returning into work for her scheduled shift.
Given the vast ground covered between Woodland Park, CO, and Gooding, ID, authorities are beginning to wonder if Patrick Frazee was alone in this heinous act. Prosecutors now have released two theories about Kelsey’s death, and according to PEOPLE, one suggests that Patrick did, indeed, have help.
On December 31st, 2018, prosecutors reported that they “filed the two murder counts against Frazee based on two theories about how the alleged killing may have occurred: either Frazee carried out the crime on his own, or he and someone else allegedly tried to rob Berreth before she was killed.” If she was in fact robbed, authorities believe that Frazee was responsible for organizing the crime.
Patrick Frazee was arrested on December 21st and remains in police custody without bond. He will appear back in court on Friday, December 4th, 2019. In the meantime, the daughter that he shared with Kelsey is being kept with Kelsey’s family.
Kelsey Berreth has yet to be discovered but is believed to be dead. Please pray that authorities find her and that she is alive and please keep her daughter and family in your prayers.
