People Are Going Wild Over First Lady Melania Trump’s Uncharacteristic Actions Just Moments After Landing In UK

July 12, 2018

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump touched down in the United Kingdom at Stansted Airport on the morning of Thursday, July 12.

While most would assume that the President of the United States would be the star of the moment, it was the First Lady who stole all the attention.

As the plane landed, fans and security teams gathered round, happily awaiting the couple to make their grand appearance. Within moments of the Air Force One cabin door opening, the crowd got everything they bargained for and then some.

Melania stepped out looking as elegant and classy as ever before. Her beige, form-fitting dress was perfectly accented with a deep red-orange belt and nude heels. Her first action, though, was what caught everyone by surprise.

Before descending the stairs, she casually reached over and took hold of President Trump’s hand. Though they have been documented from time to time holding hands, this public display of affection was one of the most noticeable ones yet.

Together, they walked hand in hand down the stairs and off to the vehicle awaiting them.

On this visit, President Trump and the First Lady are scheduled to meet with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle on July 13. US Ambassador to the UK, Robert Wood Johnson, confirmed this meeting: “He has to see the head of the state. Putting his food on the ground of British soil, it’s job one - very very important, very symbolic.”

He continued: “Meeting Her Majesty is the most important thing, because she’s the head of state, and from there on, it’ll be what the President wants to do.”

While in the UK, the President will visit the US Ambassador’s Residence at Winfield House in Regent’s Park. He also has plans to attend a gala at Blenheim Palace and meet with British Prime Minister, Theresa May.

This will be a monumental meeting for both the Queen and the President. According to sources, Queen Elizabeth has met 11 out of 12 serving US Presidents over the course of her reign.

We can’t wait to see photos from the meeting!
