Some love him, some hate him, and some tolerate him. No matter how you feel about the guy, one thing’s for certain: you know who he is, and, to him, that’s what matters most.
The man who’s been deemed “the outspoken columnist who frequently stirs up controversy online,” Piers Morgan, has landed himself in the hospital. The 53-year-old celebrity is best known for hosting Good Morning Britain, where his opinions never run dry.
Despite how many feel about him, personally, 6.52M of his Twitter followers were undoubtedly shocked upon seeing the sudden news of his recent illness. On Friday, January 11, Morgan posted an image of himself laying in a hospital bed.
He captioned the image: “Bad news...after some extensive hospital test this morning, it appears I’m not going to die. I can only apologise for all the upset & offence I know this development will cause.”
Currently, he has yet to disclose the exact cause of illness that has landed him in the Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London, but he appears to be in good spirits as he awaits the test results.
Since then, his image has received 26k likes, nearly 3k retweets, and 4k comments. Not all of those commenting and reacting have his best interest at heart, but those that do wish him nothing but a speedy recovery.
A source stated: “Morgan will return to ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Monday when he will provide an update on his heath.”
No matter how you feel about someone, an undisclosed illness is never something to joke around with. We hope and pray that he gets the answers he’s looking for and that he’ll be on the road to recovery soon.
