Pippa Middleton’s Unborn Child’s Official Title Has Finally Been Released, And It’s Better Than We Ever Imagined

June 21, 2018

In the past several years, Pippa Middleton has quickly become a household name. Pippa is the younger sister to Kate, but they share strikingly similar physical traits.

Around seven years ago when Kate Middleton and Prince William tied the knot, Pippa was one of the most iconic faces of the day. The sisters have always been close, so it came as no surprise to see Pippa filling the role of Maid of Honor in her wedding and Kate as Matron of Honor in Pippa’s wedding.

She was quickly accepted by Kate’s new royal family and has appeared to keep that close connection since day one. As soon as Pippa married her husband, James Matthews, in 2017, the question of kids became a hot topic of discussion.

There’s nothing more exciting to the public than the announcement of a new royal on the way, so many began begging for Pippa to have a baby. After about a year of pleading, we are finally getting our wish.

Pippa and James announced their pregnancy right before Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle’s wedding and the world cheered in unison over this thrilling news. This little one will be a first cousin to the members of the royal family, but unlike those cousins, he or she won’t be receiving any royal title.

According to a royal historian, Marlene Koenig, “Pippa is Mrs. James Matthews, so her kids will be Master or Miss Christian name Matthews. No titles whatsoever.” Her reasoning makes a great deal of sense.

She stated: “The reason the Matthews boy or girl will not be known as a future prince, princess, lord, or lady is because the child’s parents don’t have royal titles themselves. Matthews and Middleton only have honorary titles - the Laird and Lady of Glen Affic - due to Matthews’ father’s land acquisition.”

Koenig continued: “James’ father bought a feudal barony. ‘Laird’ is not a title, but a description applied by those living on and around the estate. Ownership of a souvenir plot of land does not bring with it the right to any description such as ‘laird,’ ‘lord,’ or ‘lady.’”

Despite the fact that the Matthews baby is related to the most infamous royal family in history, they will only share blood relation and nothing more. This will likely bring a great deal of relief to the little one in the years to come and will lessen the stress and pressure that being a royal family member holds.

What do you think about this? Do you think Pippa’s child should have an official title or do you think that it’s best he or she foregoes one?
