Imagine - after months or years of trying, you think you might be expecting a baby. After suffering through countless disappointments in the past, you are once again braving “the test.” You take a cautious peek at the window of the slender plastic contraption and are instantly filled with joy! You are pregnant! You share the news with your husband as you begin making plans for the future - that now includes the pitter patter of little feet.

Then you are checking your newsfeed and discover that the brand of pregnancy test you just used is recalling them due to false positive results. You rush to the box to check the lot number and your heart sinks.

Yes, this is a hypothetical story, but it’s likely that there are some women out there who experienced something very similar. And if you used the ‘Clear and Simple’ brand, you might want to check your results again.

People reports that “Over 58,000 at-home pregnancy tests from the brand Clear & Simple were recalled after women were getting false positive results.

“The manufacturer, Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech, pulled back the tests from distribution in the U.K. because a ‘small number’ of women were incorrectly told they were expecting.”

According to Gov.UK, “People are advised to check if they have any of the affected tests, which are listed...below. The lot number can be found on the end of the box and is also printed on the sachet. Only this lot number is affected.
