Pregnant Twins Sisters. As One Is In Labor The Other Supports Her Sister; Hours Later The Roles Reverse

October 12, 2017

Have you ever heard of a thing called twin power? It is where twins have the power to know what's going on with their twin or can read their mind or finish each other's sentences. This twin power is taken to the next level with these two sisters.

Rachael McGeoch and Beccy Pistone Are identical twins. They have been close their entire lives. Both married, Beccy had been trying to have a baby for some time but with no luck in conceiving. That's when she convinced her sister to try along with her. Surprisingly after three weeks of trying, Rachael discovered she was pregnant. That was hard for Beccy to hear as she had been trying for so long; at the same time, she was happy for her sister.

Beccy ended up taking a pregnancy test and, lo-and-behold, she was pregnant, too! TWIN POWER! Rachael was due on August 1st and Beccy's due date was August 13th. Crazy! Two babies in two weeks.

“The whole time we were pregnant we did keep saying, ‘Oh, we’re going to have them the same day at the same time,’ but we knew that was very unlikely,” Beccy said. But Rachael’s due date came and went and, two weeks later, she was still pregnant. They planned to induce her at 42 weeks, and that date fell on Beccy's due date.

Rachael wrote in a Facebook post, “After 2.5 days of trying to induce me and nothing working, we knew we needed to be together. Beccy came up to Boston to hold my hand, and I finally went into active labor.” Beccy was there for her sister through her entire labor, and then something incredible happened. She went into active labor herself. Twin power strikes again.

On August 15th, Rachael gave birth to her son, William, at 10:41 p.m. Then on August 16th, in the next room, Beccy gave birth to her daughter, Andi, at 6:54 p.m.
