It was the moment for which we’d all been waiting. President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have completed their first meeting with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle.
In an interview following today’s meeting, President Trump had nothing but positive words about the Queen. According to Fox News, he called her a “tremendous woman.”
His reason for saying so are completely undeniable and precisely why the entire world loves her so.
He went on to say, “If you think of it, for so many years she has represented her country, she has really never made a mistake. You don’t see, like, anything embarrassing. She is just an incredible woman.”
He then proceeded to talk about how much the First Lady admires her. “My wife is a tremendous fan of hers. She has got a great and beautiful grace about her.”
President Trump and First Lady Melania were properly welcomed at a greeting ceremony on the courtyards of Windsor Castle. The started off the meeting with handshakes and a playing of the National Anthem by the military band present.
Following this, per the 70-year-old tradition, the President and Queen took a stroll past the Coldstream Guards that perfectly lined the courtyard.
They then rejoined the First Lady where the three had a 45-minute visit over tea at the castle.
The White House Twitter account posted a quote by the President in which he stated his dearest feelings about the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom:
