Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Don’t Want A Wedding Registry - Instead, They Make This Outlandish Request For Wedding Gifts

April 11, 2018

While the vast majority of the world’s population is solely focused on the impending birth of Royal baby number three, many also are caught up in the other blissful news in the family - the wedding of the year!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding day is quickly approaching, and the happy couple has already knocked out quite a bit of “to do’s” before the big day. The cake has been confirmed, the dress has been chosen, the venue confirmed, and the invitations sent out.

The most recent information that has been confirmed is their wedding registry list. When you virtually have the world at your fingertips, what could you possibly put on a wedding registry? After all, collectively their net worth is estimated to be around $30 million.

This question has stumped many, and some assumed it would be chocked full of lavish items. Thankfully, the lovely duo answered our bidding question. The answer was far greater than we ever imagined.

Harry and his bride-to-be made the bold decision to ask for one thing only for their registry: donations to charities. They have selected seven for guests to choose from, all of which hold special meanings to them.

The palace issued a statement concerning the matter: “Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle are incredibly grateful for the goodwill shown to them since the announcement of their engagement and are keen that as many people as possible benefit from this generosity of spirit.”

Their charities of choice are The Children’s HIV Association, Crisis, The Myna Mahila Foundation, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, StreetGames, Surfers Against Sewage, and The Wilderness Foundation U.K.

This gives us even deeper respect and appreciation for the couple. Knowing that they are foregoing a flurry of gifts and opting for others to receive the blessing is undeniably admirable.
