Even if you're not a Royal insider, a member of the Hollywood elite, or a close friend of the bride and groom, you still have a chance to attend the most anticipated nuptials of the year. Kensington Palace just made the announcement that 2,640 lucky members of the public will be invited to attend the May 19th celebration at Windsor Castle.
So, just what are your chances of being among the chosen few? According to Deseret News, of those 2,650 attendees, 1,200 will actually be inside to watch the wedding. Those people will be selected by lord lieutenants in the U.K., specifically, “young people who have shown strong leadership and those who have served their communities," the news release explained.
"In addition, 200 people who work for charities and organizations with which Prince Harry and Markle have close associations will also attend.
"An additional 610 people from the Windsor Castle community will attend, along with 530 people from the Royal Households and Crown Estate, according to the release."
If you're not one of the above-mentioned target groups, you're still in luck! The ceremony is likely to be televised so that the rest of us "commoners" around the world can share in the happy occasion. But, just in case, watch your mailbox...you just never know!!
