Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are only days away from saying “I do” and the world can hardly wait! As the countdown continues, the wedding to-do list appears to be getting shorter and shorter.
On Tuesday, April 24th, 2018, just 24 days away from the wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan made a big announcement that their fans were waiting to hear: The couple shared the music for the bride’s walk down the aisle!
Yep! If you haven’t allowed yourself to imagine Meghan in a stunning white gown walking towards her prince because you were missing the vision was impossible to imagine without music, wait no longer- You can now daydream all day about the wedding of the century!
People announced that the couple was going to take full advantage of their magical venue and use The Choir of St. George’s Chapel! The classic group of 23 young boys and 12 men will gracefully fill the chapel with beautiful harmonies as Meghan walks down the aisle towards her loving prince.
But that’s not it! Meghan was hoping to get one very important musician for her big day, and she stopped at no length to make her dream come true!
Meghan personally called an award-winning 19-year-old cellist named Sheku Kanneh-Mason to make all of her wedding-day dreams come true. The young cellist, who is a student at London’s Royal Academy of Music, shared about the moment Meghan Markle called and requested his talent for her big day.
Sheku told People that he “was bowled over when Ms. Markle called me to ask if I would play during the ceremony, and of course I immediately said ‘Yes!’.” Can you imagine being only 19 years old and playing for the prince and his bride at St. George’s Chapel?! He went on to say that he was totally shocked by her request: “What a privilege to be able to play the cello at such a wonderful event. I can’t wait!” He plans on preparing day and night for his big solo!
Along with The Choir of St. George’s Chapel and Sheku, additional musicians from BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the English Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonia performing during the ceremony as well!
We can’t but wonder if the chosen artists are a little bit nervous about this massive opportunity, but we know one thing is for sure: they’ve got to be thrilled!
Prince Harry and Meghan are set to wed on May 19th, 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. We can’t wait for the day to finally be here!
