In Fall 2017, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced that they were expecting their third child. Just seconds after the new broke, fans around the world were beyond thrilled to learn that their favorite Royal couple adding to their family.
Kate glowed during her pregnancy. And despite being sick from Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), she still made countless official appearances. Fans were given a chance to follow the Duchess’ pregnancy more closely than ever with the power of social media. But while they were able to keep up with her every move, there was one mystery of Royal Baby #3.
During her pregnancy, William and Kate kept the baby’s gender a secret. While Will and Kate had already had Prince George and Princess Charlotte, they appeared to be much less concerned with Baby #3’s gender.
On April 23rd, fans finally learned the most anticipated news: the Duchess had a son! After nearly a week of waiting to learn the newest little prince’s name, Kensington Palace announced via Twitter that the baby’s name was Louis Arthur Charles.
Fans were beyond thrilled to learn that Will and Kate had another precious son, and the request for photos couldn’t come soon enough! A little over a week after returning back home to Kensington, Kate shared a photograph of Prince Louis on Twitter. Fans were utterly obsessed. While he was still too young to be able to see just which parent he favored, Prince Louis was perfection nonetheless.
Nearly more than two months later, it was time for Prince Louis’ christening- an event that Royal watchers were beyond excited for. Family portraits are taken after the christening and this year's portrait would be very exciting since it would be the first christening photo with Meghan Markle and the first time that Cambridge Family would be officially photographed as a family of five.
The photos were beautiful with Prince Louis resting peacefully in his mum’s arms. And while the official portraits would have sufficed for Royal watchers, they were thrilled to see an extra candid solo photo of Prince Louis and Kate Middleton after the event!
Kate and Louis were outside of Clarence House when the photographer captures a gummy and happy Prince and proud mum. In the photo, Prince Louis looks identical to Kate! His eyes and smile lead fans to believe that he’ll favor his mother for most of his life, and will have dark hair rather than blond hair like his big brother, George, who favors his dad!
