Little Prince Louis is off to a rapid start; in just four days, he’s been honored with his very own website, a photoshoot, and a prestigious title! About seven hours after he made his big arrival into the world, the little prince traveled home with his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently living in Kensington Palace’s 1A Apartment. The family moved back to Kensington in mid-2017 so that the Duke could focus on his royal duties more while Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended school in London.
Built in 1605, Kensington Palace is world-renowned as it’s housed several members of the British family. Since then, it’s of course been renovated, but the one room, in particular, received a true renovation: Prince Louis’ nursery.
Prince Louis’ nursery was previously occupied by his brother and then his sister. OK reports that the nursery is completely decorated from head to toe with one very classic theme: Peter Rabbit!
Based on the British children’s book, Peter Rabbit offers an animal fairytale theme. Soft colors create a soft and warm feel while still bringing in a theme of adventure.
Prince George also happened to have a Peter Rabbit themed nursery while sister Charlotte had something more feminine. Since William and Kate didn’t know the gender of the third child, the source believes that they chose Peter Rabbit once more because of its simplicity and classic beauty.
The designer, Dragons of Walton Street, wanted to create a space for both the prince and the parents. The room is believed to be a space where the little prince can rest and play and were a mom and the nanny, Maria, can feel comfortable.
We can’t wait to see pictures of the newest nursery! We’re sure it’s as cozy and cute as ever!
