The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived! Prince William and Kate Middleton stole the spotlight for months as the public anxiously awaited the birth of their third child.
Their other children, Prince George (4) and Princess Charlotte (2) have won over the hearts of millions across the globe since the moment they were born. Because of this, many knew that the third royal baby would follow suit.
In the months leading up to the birth of the baby, the proud mother and father kept a great deal of details hush-hush. They kept us wondering if the baby was a prince or a princess, they kept us guessing on the delivery date, and, after the little one’s big debut, one question remained unanswered - the name.
It’s customary for the child’s name to be withheld for a couple of days for various reasons. One, in particular, is because the child’s name holds so much value in the lineage of the family that the parents want to ensure they have chosen the proper name. The role in which the little one was born into is not taken lightly, and William and Kate want to do their very best to equip him for the journey ahead.
Many have taken guesses as to what the baby's name would be, narrowing it down to many solid choices. The news, however, was never confirmed until today!
After great deliberation, they have finally decided upon a name for the sweet baby, and it’s as perfect as you’d expect. Meet His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland! He will officially go by His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.
The name is quite fitting for the sweet little one, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for their growing family! I know that big brother, George, and big sister, Charlotte, will do a splendid job teaching little Louis the ropes of royal life. He’ll have the hang of it in no time at all!
