When it comes to child-rearing, there are a number of inevitable struggles. It’s something in which you must be well-prepared, both mentally and emotionally, for the road ahead. While the days may be long, the years are short and time flies far too quickly.
Things are no different for you even if you are from a royal lineage. Prince William has come to know this all too well since the birth of his three children. From time to time, he gets real about his emotions about life as a father.
During a recent outing with Duchess Kate to Wimbledon, the royal duo had the opportunity to meet and chat with one of the tennis greats, Novak Djokovic.
They congratulated him on the incredible win and happened to sneak in a bit of parenting talk during the process.
Djokovic casually asked the Duke and Duchess, “How are your children?” William replied, “Very well, thanks. Very well. Trying to get a tennis racket in their hand. And a football.”
According to sources, William definitely wants his children to get into sports as soon as possible. He and Kate have already tried getting the eldest children interested in tennis by enrolling them in lessons.
“[Kate] says with George just being four, he wants to whack a ball,” sources state. This is all the better reason for him to get signed up for tennis! As for Charlotte, William spilled in a separate interview that she loves to dance.
The Duke has yet to give up on his dream for his children to fall in love with a sport he holds so near and dear to his heart.
While this isn’t a serious struggle, it’s definitely one that some parents face. It’s just a game of trial and error trying to find just what interests little inquisitive and eager children.
Hopefully, the little ones will take a quick interest in the sport. Who knows - we might see them in Wimbledon in the years to come! What sports do you see the little ones taking up quickest?
