These days, the British Royal Family has excitement all around. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in full wedding mode while Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are watching the clock for their third child to come into the world. The Duchess recently completed her last official appearance and is now officially on maternity leave with staff on call around the clock.
As big brother, Prince George, and big sister, Princess Charlotte, await their new sibling to arrive, I can only imagine the thoughts that are running through their mind. This will be nothing new for George but, now that he is four years old, he can get a better grasp on how things work when a new sibling comes into the world. I can just picture a lot of sweet, toothy grins and giggles as he rubs his mother’s tummy and whispers to the unborn baby.
Princess Charlotte, on the other hand, will be experiencing just what her brother did when she came into the world. It’s likely a bit confusing to hear family members talk about a new baby when she’s been the only baby around for some time. If she’s like any other girl, she totes around baby dolls and pretends to be a little mother, too. With her sweet and spunky personality, she will be a stellar big sister and will be more than happy to teach the little one the ropes.
At one of the official appearances, Prince William spoke out about his children and confirmed our suspicions about the little Princess. While visiting Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, England, he confessed just which of his children needed the most supervision.
“George rules the roost, but Charlotte isn’t far behind. I think she’s going to be trouble when she’s older. All fathers say that to me - watch out for the little girls,” he stated in an interview. With her strong personality and leadership qualities shining through at such a young age already, it’s safe to say that this little Princess is already making waves in the royal household. I bet she got a lot of her leadership skills from her incredible grandmother, the Queen.
Either way, the calm, cool, and collected big brother and the charming, happy-go-lucky sister will welcome their new sibling with open arms. We can’t wait to see this beautiful relationship unfold. What do you think the little one will be? Are you team boy or team girl?
