Since the day he was born, Prince William has been a hot topic throughout news outlets worldwide. The world has had the privilege of watching him grow up, work through the difficulties in life, and now become a father. He’s admired by many, and he and his wife, Kate Middleton, have become one of the most idolized couples.
Because of his ever-increasing popularity, people have yearned to know the in’s and out’s of every detail in his life. While we know a great deal about him already, any new information we find out makes us adore him even more.
Recently, one big love of his was leaked, and this tidbit of information has made him all the more relatable. When you think of a royal, you likely imagine them dining nightly around a grand palace table, served nothing but the highest quality dishes, all eloquently prepared to each person’s liking.
While this could very well be true, they do enjoy to splurge on “normal” food as well. It’s no secret that William and Kate love to cook and dine out from time to time. While making an appearance at the Next Generation Impact Entrepreneurs Forum, he shared with the public his favorite fast food restaurant, leaving many people stunned.
They were shocked not by the location but that he had a favorite casual fast food joint! His place of choice is none other than Nando’s, a Mozambique-Portuguese-inspired fast food chain. He was initially introduced to this hot spot by one of his protection officers, and it was love at first bite!
Nando’s gained a great deal of notoriety from its famous peri-peri chicken, which is chicken marinated in African Bird’s Eye chili peppers. At the event, the Prince met the founder of the restaurant and had to gush about his love for the place.
“This man here is your biggest fan; he’s introduced me to Nando’s. It’s very good!” he said in reference to his protection officer. After the meeting, the owner of Nando’s elaborated on the conversation. “I’m not surprised he’s eaten at Nando’s. The beauty of Prince Harry and Prince William is that they’re really accessible and they are guys that go out a lot. I’m very happy that they’ve tried it,” he said.
Have you ever tried Nando’s? If not, you might want to give it a shot since it’s now “Prince approved!”
