hat adorable little Princess has done it again! She has once again given the world another example of just what a charmer she is. Princess Charlotte has not only made a loving gesture toward her Grandpa Charles, she also gives a hint of her readiness for living the royal life.
On this particular day, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cambridge were preparing to board their private helicopter for a trip to Salisbury. As their staff was loading the baggage onto the aircraft, their attention was caught by a far-off spectacle.
In the background of the video (by photographer Elam Simchayoff), you can just barely see a little lady in a pink dress standing near the gates of her home. Once the precious Royal realizes what is going on, she decides it's time for action.
Not wanting them to leave without a proper send-off, little Charlotte beckons Nanny Maria to pick her up to give her a better vantage point. From there the little royal begins performing her signature move, one that she has received so much coverage for in her short three years of life.
From the safety of Nanny Maria’s arms, far away from the spinning rotors of the royal helicopter, Charlotte begins enthusiastically waving ‘bye-bye’ to her beloved ‘Ga-Ga' (her name for Prince Charles) and Grandma Camilla.
The whole world has fallen under the spell of Charlottes’s charms, and especially the enchanting way in which the little Princess has taken to the royal wave. Remember her performance as she was about to enter the Lindo Wing on the day of her baby brother’s birth? She noticed a crowd had gathered so she did the thing she knew they were waiting for:
On the day of her farewell to her grandparents, Princess Charlotte likely had just returned home from her day at Nursery School, only to find out that her Ga-Ga was leaving!
Once realizing that she would not be able to stop the inevitable, she decided to do the next best thing - send them on their way with a loving gesture of farewell.
After all, it is what she does best! The little Royal has definitely perfected the royal wave, something that she has been photographed doing on numerous occasions, most recently from the balcony of Buckingham Palace for this year’s Trooping the Colour parade.
She seemed to be copying great-Grandma’s even move, only waving once the Queen had begun doing so. This little one is a sharp cookie!!
