Though she’s been gone for far too long, Princess Diana is a woman in which the world will never forget. The legacy in which she abruptly left behind has continued on as strong as ever, and her adoring children and family have done their due diligence to ensure she’s honored for years to come.

It is a heartbreaking thought when you consider just what the late princess has missed out on in recent years. Her two sons, William and Harry, have grown up right before our very eyes and became incredible men.

They’ve both married their perfect mates and each started their own families. Oh how Diana would have been thrilled to see her four beautiful grandchildren be born and grow! Not only does her family miss her greatly, but the public also does as well. She’s often honored both publicly and privately by many of her adoring fans. Though she is no longer with us, she’s certainly not forgotten.

One way some will be keeping her memory alive and allowing others to continually do so is by opening a new exhibition up to the public in her honor. This is no ordinary exhibition though; This one, in particular, will be held in none other than her childhood home!

Animals of Althorp will be hosting it this summer from July 1-August 31 and it will allow visitors to not only reminisce in her home, but to learn about her love of animals as well. According to reports: “A number of artifacts and antiques will be on display, including a portrait of Diana’s much-loved cat, Marmalade, drawn by renowned Polish society artist Aniela Pawlikowska who frequently drew the late princess and her siblings as children.”

A statement about the exhibition also read: “Animals are as much a part of the Spencer family’s history as the iconic house itself. The Spencers arrived with their flocks of sheep in this rich grazing land in 1486 and built their home there in 1508.”

It continued: “Since then, the verdant pastures and woodlands of oak have been the backdrop to their lives and home to many animals, including the black fallow deer that have roamed the park since the fifteenth century, and which remain the Spencers’ closest neighbors to this day.”
