Princess Diana’s Absence Will Be Recognized In The Most Enchanting Way During Her Son’s Royal Wedding

March 21, 2018

As the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry quickly approaches, we can’t help but think about the beloved and greatly missed Princess Diana. Adored by the world, Princess Diana’s absence has been felt through every milestone her children’s lives.

With her youngest son, Prince Harry, getting married on May 19th, the world can’t help but remember the cherished days when Harry still had his mother. It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming all at once to see Harry evolving into a young man of great character- we know his mother would be so proud.

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s bride, has intrigued the world with her relatable and compassionate disposition, something that Princess Diana embodied all too well. Prince Harry has shared that his bride possesses several qualities that he knew in his mother.

With their wedding just around the corner, we can’t help but wonder how Diana would feel today; how she would respond to seeing her son become a husband; how she'd look as a beaming and proud mother-of-the-groom; and how she'd share an intimate moment with Meghan- the two of them bonding over their love for Harry…

While Princess Di won’t be there in person, Harry and Meghan are considering one very special way to honor the late princess. And they might have found the most perfect memorial element ever in existence...

On Princess Diana’s wedding day to Prince Charles, Diana stunned millions as she arrived in a chariot in a perfect gown. Her ensemble was topped off with her family’s tiara, one that truly captured the look of a fairytale.

The tiara, which has been in Diana’s family for ages is referred to as “The Spencer Tiara.” Diana wore it for several other events, but it hasn’t been worn since her death. Marie Claire shared that The Spencer Tiara was a wedding present to Diana’s grandmother, the Viscountess Althorp, given to her in 1919 by Lady Sarah Spencer. The tiara was modified in the 1930’s.

According to Marie Claire, Meghan is considering wearing The Spencer Tiara on her wedding day. Wouldn’t that be the most incredible tribute to the beloved princess? We know her presence will be missed by many on May 19th, but to see The Spencer Tiara on Meghan would be truly stunning.
