Princess Eugenie, The Queen’s granddaughter and second daughter of Prince Andrew, and her fiancé, Jack Brooksbank are months away from their October wedding and they couldn’t be more thrilled! Engaged just weeks after cousin Harry, Princess Eugenie appears to be following her royal cousins in more than just one way…
In early May, more than five months before the October wedding date, Princess Eugenie and Jack made an announcement that many weren’t expecting to hear for at least five months…
The couple, who have been together since 2010, has officially announced that they are living together!
After eight years of courtship, the couple has never lived together and weren’t planning on it until they were married. So, what changed their minds to move in together only five months before the wedding date?
Simply put, a room at their dream residence suddenly became available! Of course, the couple wasn’t hoping for a room at any old residence, they were hoping for a room at Kensington Palace with the rest of the royal family! Luckily for them, a space opened up just in time!
Princess Eugenie and Jack will be moving into Ivy Cottage, the three-bedroom palace complex. The Ivy Cottage is tucked away on the palace grounds and happens to be just around the corner from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s residence at Nottingham Cottage.
While some couples choose to wait until after their wedding to begin living together, many members of the royal family begin living together weeks, and sometimes months, before their marriage.
Princess Eugenie and Jack moved into their new apartment while cousin Prince William and Kate were spending their first few hours with their newest little one, Prince Louis. Ivy Cottage is still just yards away from Apartment 1A, which is where the Cambridge Family of five resides.
Kensington Palace sounds like the place to be if you’re a royal family member! We can’t help but wonder who will move in next!
