The royal British family has been known to experience relational highs and lows since the dawn of time. While drama in the royal family has come and gone, there is one name that’s remained in the headlines for over 30 years now: Sarah Ferguson.
Sarah Ferguson married Queen Elizabeth’s son, Prince Andrew, in 1986. The two were married for nearly ten years and had two children together: Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Since their divorce, Sarah Ferguson (who was given the title “Duchess of York” once married to the prince), has remained associated with the British royal family… although, rarely in good fashion.
Since her entry into the Royal family, Sarah has been a constant source of drama and scandal; between romantic affairs during her marriage and selling the family secrets for money after becoming more than $2 million dollars in debt, Sarah hasn’t known the family’s good graces in years.
As the years went by, drama swirled and relationships drifted for Sarah Ferguson while the remaining family member's relationships only deepened. When Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011, Sarah Ferguson’s invitation was an ongoing discussion and ultimately, she did not get an invite to the wedding of her former nephew.
Today, Sarah has the chance to attend two royal weddings: the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the wedding her daughter, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.
Cheat Sheet reports that given the scandals and the drama that Sarah has invited over the years, there is no reason at all for her to be invited to Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding and even go as far as calling her “the wedding guest no one wants.” If you ask us, that particular title is a little harsh.
However, there is no doubt that Sarah will be invited to her daughter’s wedding later in the Fall of 2018. While the world has snuffed Sarah Ferguson, her daughters have always remained close to her.
Not only will Sarah be in attendance for her daughter’s wedding, but Princess Eugenie is even considering wearing her mother’s tiara as a way to honor her! After the negative press that she's gotten over the years, Princess Eugenie is defending her mother!
Hopefully, the relationships smooth over and Sarah Ferguson can make amends from with her former family!
