2 Relatives Who Can't Stand To Be In The Same Room Together Threaten To Ruin This Royal Couple's Big Day

January 24, 2018

A wedding is an exciting time for every family. Happiness, hope, and joy fill the hearts of not only the bride-and-groom-to-be but also those who love them. When news broke of the upcoming marriage between Princess Eugenie and fiancé Jack Brooksbank, the whole world renewed their interest in this lesser-known branch of the Windsor family tree.

Eugenie, the younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, has kept pretty much out of the spotlight, at least compared to her cousins, Prince William and Prince Harry, sons of the heir-to-the-throne, Prince Charles.

If you’ll remember, Prince Andrew was married to Sarah Ferguson from 1986 until their divorce in 1996.

Although the couple is no longer married, they continue to share a home, most likely for the benefit of their two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Due to the nature of their separation in 1992 and the scandals associated with Sarah Ferguson’s alleged-actions, Prince Philip, Andrew’s father, is rumored to hold somewhat of a grudge against his former daughter-in-law.

The Duke of Edinburgh reportedly has said he will never forgive the former Duchess of York for the shame and humiliation she brought upon the Royal Family, and it is likely that he still bears some of that ill-will.

It’s only natural for family members to come to the defense of their loved one when he is going through a difficult time, and it is not uncommon for battle lines to be drawn in those circumstances.

Although no one can blame a loving father for defending his son when he thinks he's being taken advantage of, we suspect that the stately gentleman has found a way to come to terms with his distaste for Andrew’s former wife.

The Royal Family has too much class, dignity, and self-respect to ever allow personal animosity to tarnish the happiness of a beloved granddaughter. Keep in mind, The Duke of Edinburgh has lived with the demands of royal protocol for over seven decades and has had plenty of practice maintaining his composure in less-than-ideal social situations. We think he can manage to hold it together for his granddaughter’s wedding!

And those Royal-watchers who are betting on wedding day fireworks between the two allegedly-estranged members of Eugenie’s family will undoubtedly be disappointed.

You can rest assured that the Royal Affair on October 12th will proceed without a hitch, and the newlyweds-to-be will have the best day of their lives, sailing off into the sunset on their way to their own “Happily Ever After.”
