If you have ever been to the zoo, and are anything like me, one of the first things you wanted to see was the elephants! Elephants are some of the most intriguing and majestic animals on the planet. Their sheer size alone is enough to make anyone stop and stare. Of course, elephants don't start out so big. They all start out as little calfs. Granted, a small elephant calf is much bigger than most other animal babies, but still. Elephants are naturally socially inclined animals, so when the baby elephant in this story saw a flock of birds nearby, all he wanted to do was play. The hilarious chase that ensued will leave you smiling.
One day, in a large elephant enclosure, a new addition to the family was getting a feel for his surroundings. The young elephant wanted to take everything in and eagerly ran around the large enclosure to see everything around him. The little elephant obviously did not wander too far from its mother, however, because he was still new to the place. Soon, however, the young elephant spotted something he had never seen before.
A flock of birds was in the enclosure, leisurely taking a stroll. The young elephant was confused. What were these strange looking creatures? Were they supposed to be there? And if they were supposed to be there, why were they so much smaller and different looking than everyone else in the enclosure.
