It's confirmed, Prince William really is his mother’s son.
Princess Diana was known as the “People’s Princess.” With a genuine heart for every person she met, she captivated to the hearts of millions. When she died tragically in 1997, the world was forever changed by the woman that she was. Today, millions still mourn her loss and honor her legacy.
On July 1st, 2019, a group of loyal well-wishers stood outside of Kensington Palace remembering the late and great Princess of Wales, Diana. The long-time celebrators stood outside the Palace gates from 5:30 am well into the evening in part of a Princess Diana vigil in honor of her 58th birthday.
For years the last 22 years, loyal fans of Princess Diana have honored her life by participating in a vigil outside of her former home. This year, they experienced the closest part of Diana during their vigil- her son, Prince William.
Knowing what fans had been doing for years, Prince William decided to finally meet the ones who had been endlessly celebrating his mother. Around 6:45 pm. After more than 12 hours honoring the late princess, Prince William emerged from his home at Kensington Palace to personally meet with those who were celebrating his mother.
Fans were utterly stunned to see Princess Diana’s eldest son and the future king walked out from the Palace gates. Prince William approached the group of people and held out his hand for the most sincere “Thank you.”
William shared his gratitude for the many years the group had honored and celebrated his mother’s life. Shaking the hand of each visitor, he thanked them for their love towards his mother. During his quick meet-and-greet, one man remembered Princess Diana by saying, “She was born with two hearts: her own and one for us.”
Emotions were high as life-long Princess Di fans met with her firstborn son. One man shared, “He shook my hand three times, he has a really firm shake, and I felt a beautiful feeling go through my body. I think I'm still shaking now. I feel very emotional.”
