Less than a year ago, almost no one knew who Meghan Markle was; while the actress was starring on a successful televisions series, she was still able to go about each day without paparazzi and keep her life private. But since becoming engaged to Britain’s most eligible bachelor, long gone are the days of privacy and stepping out in public for a casual evening.
On May 19th, 2018, Meghan Markle made history as she, an Africa-American/ divorced/ actress married into the Royal Family. On that day, became to Duchess of Sussex. As a member of the world’s most iconic family, The Royal Family, she’s not just gaining the role of “wife,” she’s stepping into a whole new life experience.
Meghan is naturally very poised, but being royal is so much more than having good manners; it’s dressing a certain way, greeting people a certain way, responding to all things unexpected a certain way, and maintaining elegance, beauty, power, and pride all at the same time.
While she is poised, she’s also been known to be quite casual (her “messy bun” has sparked all kinds of remarks since entering the family), and “casual” is not a theme that is synonymous with the Royal Family. After one too many Royal outings with a messy bun, the Queen stepped in after pulling some major strings!
Queen Elizabeth has requested that Meghan be given her training by none other than her top aide, 49-year-old Samantha Cohen. Samantha has worked for the Royal Family for the last 20 years. She’s assisted with several spouses who have married into the Royal Family including the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge.
While she officially resigned in 2017, the Queen has been such a fan of her work that she requested her to be the one to train Meghan before retiring for good.
Meghan and Samantha have been working with each other and in just a couple weeks, the world can see an obvious change in Meghan! At each event, she appears to be more established as a Royal; from her ensembles and her makeup to the way she communicates with guests and carries herself. Surely, Her Majesty is quite impressed with Meghan’s progress. In fact, the Queen and Meghan have already shared in several outings with each other, including a solo out in Chester.
An insider shared that the training will be as follows: “It will be six months of listening. She is seeking out advice from a range of people. She is going to proceed with humility. It is not going to be quiet, though. It is going to be a very busy office. She has worked every day of her life. She is used to a demanding schedule.”
Well, we wish her luck! The Duchess of Sussex has quite a road of ahead of her but we know she will be just perfect! What other kind trainings to you think she’ll be getting form Samantha? Let us know in the comment section!
