One can only fathom the emotions that Queen Elizabeth has felt as of late. 2018 has undoubtedly been one roller coaster ride for the entire royal family, but as head of the family, the Queen feels the weight of it most.
The year started off with a bang as she began her 66th year on the British throne and all that lie ahead looked bright. Within the first part of the year, two of her grandsons were experiencing monumental moments in their lives, forever altering the course of history.
On April 23rd, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, into the world. This was certainly a highly anticipated event for not only the family but the entire world as well.
On May 19th, Prince Harry had a life-altering event as well. He married American actress, Meghan Markle, in a glorious ceremony watched by billions worldwide. Amid both of these events and her husband, Prince Philip, dealing with severe health issues, she’s been one busy lady.
Now that the dust has somewhat settled, she’s onto other tasks. One of the main things she’s most focused on now is her new granddaughter-in-law, Meghan. Since Meghan came from a vastly different background and upbringing, she’s got a lot to do to whip her into the royal shape.
Now that she’s officially family, she has been quickly enlisted in a bit of “Royal 101.” It has been reported that the new Duchess of Sussex is undergoing six months of training on how to properly behave as a functioning member of the royal family. The woman in which she will be receiving her training is Samantha Cohen.
According to sources, “It will be six months of listening. She is seeking out advice from a range of people. She is going to proceed with humility. It is not going to be quiet, though. It is going to be a very busy office. She has worked every day of her life. She is used to a demanding schedule.”
As of now, only time will tell just how much Meghan will change over the next six months. I know we will certainly be watching to see just how she evolves into a full-fledged royal. From the looks of it all, she’s going to catch onto things rather quickly.
Do you think Meghan will make a fantastic royal?
