Meghan Markle’s life has been nothing short of a whirlwind experience over the past couple of years. Never could she have imagined that her life would be where it is today, but she’s quickly proven that anything is possible.
She traded her life as a television actress to be the Duchess of Sussex, and she hasn’t looked back. She was known by a select few for her acting roles, but now, she’s a household name.
In the few short weeks of being a married woman, she’s had quite a bit of behind-the-scenes work to accomplish. She will soon be accompanying Queen Elizabeth on her first ever solo trip. While some wonder if it’s too soon, Meghan is taking it all in stride.
She’s already made it known that she doesn’t plan on being merely average in the royal family. She intends on making a difference and being vocal and active in the palace. Her eager anticipation to fulfill her new duties make learning quick and easy for her, but she does still have quite a bit of work to do before she’s fully master the art of living royally.
While her first outing is one of the grandest of all, people can’t help but wonder just what Queen Elizabeth thinks about her grandson’s new bride. The Queen has been known to keep a stone face from time to time, so her true emotions rarely show. Why would she choose to start the Duchess off with such a lofty task?
Thanks to a royal insider, we now have a much better insight as to how the Queen really feels. According to the source: “The Queen knows the potential pitfalls of not giving [new members] a guiding hand. It’s all about the monarchy. She can’t expect Meghan to know everything without being shown.”
The source went on to add: “She doesn’t want 70 years of hard work to be for nothing. I’m sure she feels Meghan needs a steadying hand in these early days. It is the way of the royal family - all part of the training and getting used to being in public life and under public scrutiny. Showing people the ropes is a high priority to the Queen.”
This, alone, goes to show just how much the Queen honors, respects, and is attempting to protect the Duchess as she makes her grand debut into the family. She wants nothing more than for her to succeed in her role and knows that it takes time, effort, and some royal education for that to happen.
There is no one better at showing the ropes than the royal veteran, the Queen. Having her as a guide, Meghan will certainly have no trouble at all shaping up to be the best royal possible. We can’t wait to see just how things pan out for the Duchess of Sussex!
