The Royal Family is just about always prim, proper, and ready to perform. As one of the world’s most legendary families, they’ve been in the spotlight for their entire lives. Very rarely, does the public see any member of the Royal Family in their humanity.
But every once in a while, a camera is rolling at the perfect time. That’s exactly what happened during Trooping the Colour in 2016.
During the ever- famous Buckingham Palace balcony scene, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge proudly stood with their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as they waved to fans.
The 2016 Trooping the Colour was Prince George’s second Trooping the Colour and Princess Charlotte’s first. The Duke and Duchess were thrilled to have their children apart of the event as it is truly an iconic moment in history and wanted to make sure that they were fully aware of all of the excitement taking place.
During the event, Prince William knelt down to his son’s eye level and pointed up towards the sky. At first glance, it appeared that the conversation that William was having with his son was perfectly fine, but there was one person in particular that did not think it was the time or the place to have such a casual conversation.
Queen Elizabeth boldly interrupted her grandson and great-grandson in their conversation and urged him the stand up rather than stay near the ground. The Duke looked up at his grandmother and realized that she was as serious as could be. He immediately jumped up to his feet.
A camera caught the Queen’s urgent request and even capture William’s obedient response to his grandmother. When she told him to stand, he simply stated, “Right” and stood to his feet.
The exchange had royal fans laughing as Prince William is very rarely seen being corrected! I’m sure anyone else would do the same thing if he or she was being corrected by the Queen though! Check out the video below!
