Recall: Walmart Has Issued A Recall On A Popular Organic Food Item After Finding A Dead Bat Inside. [Video]

April 10, 2017

Walmart has issued a recall on Organic Marketside Spring Mix.

The company issued the recall on Saturday after 2 people in Florida were eating their salad and they looked into the salad box and found a dead bat inside. Yuck.

They immediately notified authorities and the bat is now being tested for rabies at the Centers for Disease Control. The two people who ate the salad are being monitored but appear to be in good health without any signs of rabies.

"Fresh Express has recalled a packaged salad mix sold at Walmart stores in the southeastern U.S. after a dead bat was found in containers of the leafy greens sold in Florida," according to one report.

Customers can receive a full refund by contacting the Fresh Express Consumer Response Center.
