Rejected By Their Mother, These Rare Tiger Quintuplets Are Thriving Thanks To Their Loving Zoo Keepers [VIDEO]

May 19, 2017

A breeding center in china recently welcomed five new tiger cubs into the fold. These adorable cubs were considered extremely rare, due to the fact that they were Siberian tigers, which are endangered. It was also extremely rare for a mother tiger to give birth to five cubs because most only give birth to two or four cubs at a time.

The cubs are raised solely by the keepers at their zoo home. The mother tiger did not take to her five cubs and rejected them outright. The zookeepers weren't about to give up on the adorable cubs and decided to play the role of mother themselves. Every day the breeders have fed the cubs milk from bottles.

The breeders at the zoo have estimated that the cubs may be joined by as many as 150 newborn Siberian tigers this year. This was a record number and great news for the endangered tiger species. Until then, the new cubs have enjoyed playing in their new home and taking lots of naps!
