The end of summer is the beginning of so many new opportunities. As a new season comes forth, a whole new set of adventures and experiences eagerly await us.
There’s just something so cozy and comforting about autumn that always gives us a sense of peace and contentment. The hustle and bustle of the fun-filled summer months have slowly drawn to a close and now we feel as though we can utter a big sigh of relief.
As we prepare our minds, homes, and lives for the turn of the season, we begin to reflect on the things that matter the most to us. For many, it’s the comfort of family. One thing that always brought me great joy was spending the cooler months inside doing various activities with my family.
Now that I have a family of my own, I do my best to keep those same traditions in play. For me, my favorite indoor family activity is baking. Memories are waiting to be made in every kitchen and why not start as soon as possible to do so?
I recently came across one recipe from Half Baked Harvest that I knew had to be incorporated into our family baking adventures. This recipe is for Cinnamon Spiced Sugar Cookies. If the sound of that doesn’t make your mouth instantly water, the best part about the cookies will: they’re topped with a brown butter frosting!
In keeping with the seasonal change, the cookies are in the shape of chubby little pumpkins and decorated accordingly. They’re almost too pretty to eat! Check out the stunning tutorial, HERE, to see just how simple it is to create these adorable cookies in the comfort of your own home.
