On Monday, April 23rd, 2018, The Duke and Duchess welcomed their third child! At 11:01 a.m., a beautiful and healthy baby boy was born at in the Lindo Wing ward at St. Mary’s Hospital.
This particular pregnancy was one of the more popular pregnancies within the British Royal Family, but for a unique reason! In the Duchess’ prior pregnancies, with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Duchess knew that she was having a boy and then a girl. However, with Baby #3, the Duke and Duchess wanted to be surprised with the gender of the baby!
The media buzzed and buzzed with reports of what Kate was pregnant with. At one point, many believed that she was pregnant with twins!
After much anticipation from every corner of the world, Kate gave birth to a baby boy! Millions waited for the Duke and Duchess to debut their little one, and when they did, the little prince instantly captivated the world.
The little prince made history the day he was born, but for a quite surprising reason! Kensington Palace confirmed the prince’s birth time and weight while sharing that the newest prince was officially fifth-in-line to the throne. Once they shared his details, it was realized that the new baby actually made history! Can you guess why?
The newest little prince is actually the heaviest baby born to an heir for more than 100 years! He’s heavier than his big brother, Prince George, by one full pound! Although his big sister, Princess Charlotte, was almost a contender when she was born at 8lb 3oz.
While the newest little Cambridge being the heaviest born to an heir, he’s not the heaviest baby in the Royal Family! His cousin, Princess Savannah, was a full pound heavier than him! Sounds like Royals have healthy babies!
Prince Cambridge is only a day old and is already breaking records! We can’t wait to see what else this little prince surprises us with!
