No matter what they do, it seems as though the “Fab Four” can’t seem to break away from their ever-swirling drama.
Since Meghan Markle officially joined in the British Royal Family, there has been controversy galore. It first started with her father and sister trying everything they could to bring shame to the royal household, only to fall short and be embarrassed by their attempts.
It wasn’t long after that it was rumored she and Kate had a private feud boiling behind closed doors. While the Duchesses never let on like anything was of serious concern, it was apparent to many eagle-eyed fans that the two had become a great deal more cold to one another (could be true, could be perception!).
Just months before the birth of the first Sussex baby, more rumors have come about pitting William and Kate against Harry and Meghan. Meghan and Harry have continued to separate themselves and their entities from William and Kate as much as possible from their living arrangements to their social media presence.
While we will truly never know if this is all mere speculation or factually based, some of the moves from the Sussexes have done nothing but fuel the fire whether intentional or not.
No more than a month after the Sussex personal Instagram account was created (it’s speculated to be run by none other than Duchess Meghan), some fans were keen to take note of who the account follows.
Initially, they were following a select amount of accounts, and just as you would assume, were following William and Kate’s account, Kensington Royal. Now, though, it’s been discovered that they have seemingly “tightened up” their list, and, believe it or not, William and Kate didn’t manage to make the cut.
Yes, fans have gone wild over the realization that the Sussexes no longer follow the Cambridges. While this seems petty and completely unimportant in the grand scheme of things (which is true!), the social media obsessed have taken this unfollowing personal and are demanding a response to the unexpected act.
Thankfully, it’s as if the Sussexes knew the fire they were starting and subtly addressed their decision in a post. It was subtle enough that many failed to even catch it.
“May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the U.S. and May 13-19 is Mental Health Awareness Week in the U.K. To pay tribute to all of the incredible work people across the globe are doing in this space, we are hoping to shine a light on several Instagram accounts that promote mental well-being, mental fitness, body positivity, self-care, and the importance of human connection - to not just hear each other, but to listen.”
Further discovery proved that not only did William and Kate not make the cut, but other royal family member accounts also were removed. In time, I’m sure all will be restored back to “normal” but until then, those angered fans will have to rest assured that Harry and Meghan had a solid reason for their unfollowing.
