Royal Palace Finally Breaks Their Silence Surrounding Prince Philip’s Surgery

April 04, 2018

96-year-old Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, April 3. People were nervous when they first learned that the beloved patriarch was hospitalized, but as they learned he was admitted for a planned procedure, worry began to diminish.

Prince Philip was admitted to the hospital to undergo a hip surgery. People waited anxiously to learn the outcome of his surgery, worried about the risk of a surgery at his age. On Sunday, he had been forced to miss out on the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, causing more worry about the surgery.

Luckily, it seems that the surgery has gone perfectly! According to Buckingham Palace, he is recovering well, although it is likely going to be a few days before he is released. Philip is one of the most beloved members of the royal family, and he is also the longest serving consort of any reigning British monarch! Please remember to keep Philip in your prayers tonight as he heals from this surgery!
