It’s no secret that one of the biggest topics of discussion as of late swarms around President Donald Trump and Queen Elizabeth. On the first week of June, the President and First Lady made a visit to the U.K. where they met with the British Royal Family, a tradition that has been upheld for many years now.
One of the highlights of the trip is the state banquet held by the Queen at Buckingham Palace. This is one of the very regal and grand events where royals and dignitaries dress in their absolute finest (even the royal women break out their tiaras for the event!).
Many have noticed a pattern in the Queen’s attire for state banquets over the years. Without fail, she always opts to wear a white gown and looks absolutely radiant and glowing at that! This year, though, another trend was spotted and it piqued the attention of many across the globe.
One thing a great deal of people came to notice was that this year, it wasn’t only the Queen wearing white, but the rest of the royal women and the First Lady. Coincidence some initially assumed, but for this number of women to choose this makes it anything but.
It then went on to spark the question - was there a reason for it? As it turns out, there was, and it was better than you’d ever imagine.
According to experts, the color white holds a great deal of significance and the message was spoken loud and clear during the regal banquet. “White, of course, is the color of peace and the color of new beginnings.”
The expert continued: “Coincidentally the psychological meaning behind this uncommon color choice is very fitting when it comes to renewing and celebrating diplomatic ties between different nations.”
“It’s a fully reflective color that creates simplicity, clearing the way forward. Scientifically speaking, white contains an equal balance of all the colors of the spectrum, so naturally, white’s most fundamental feature is equality, neutrality, and independence.”
It’s so wonderful to see the subtle messages like this between the British Queen and the First Family. I think they all looked absolutely stunning on this event and the message spoken through the color choice is just the icing on the cake!
