Sad News: Olivia Newton-John Announces She Is battling Cancer For The Second Time

June 01, 2017

The first thing that pops into my head when I hear the name OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN is "You're The One That I Want" written in 1978 for the musical Grease that starred Olivia and John Travolta. Are you singing it already? If not, I'm sure you will be after this...

Newton-John who has been touring her album, LIV ON, but has had to cancel several shows due to sickness.  The 68-year-old singer announced that she is dealing with something much bigger than just a simple cold. She posted on her Facebook page that she is battling breast cancer and is reluctantly postponing her shows through the end of June.

Olivia Newton-John said, "I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia.”

We are saddened by the news. This is her second time battling cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, 25 years later the same cancer has returned.
