Beloved Actor’s Wife Tearfully Confirms His Wife’s Death; Now, He’s Asking For Your Most Sincere Prayers

It’s a heartbreaking time for Oscar nominee Demián Bichir (2012’s A Better Life) as he’s confirmed the death of his wife, Stefanie Sherk. Stefanie died on April 20th, 2019. She was 37.

The sad news was shared first on Demián’s Instagram. He shared with his 61,000 followers that his wife had passed. With a picture and heartfelt caption, he opened up about his wife and her final days.

The caption read: Dear friends, on behalf of the Sherk and the Bichir Nájera families, it is with inconceivable pain that I announce that on April 20, 2019, our dearest Stefanie Sherk, my beloved and loving wife, passed away peacefully.”

He added, “It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives and we don’t know how much time it will take for us to overcome this pain.” His loss already felt in the first few words.

He went on to say, “Stefanie’s beautiful, angelical and talented presence will be immensely missed. We will hold Stefanie in our hearts forever. We thank everybody beforehand for their prayers and we respectfully ask for your understanding so we may grieve in peace and privacy in these incredibly difficult times. It is our sincerest hope that our beautiful Stefanie, my angel and love of my life, will rest in eternal peace.”

Fans shared their prayers with his Demián and his daughter, Gala, 8. While Demián and Stefanie did not have any of their own children, Stefanie and Demián dating before Gala was born.

Stefanie was also an actress. She had starred in foreign and American films, including Un Cuento de Circo & A Love Song in 2016. She’s also had roles in #Hashtag: The Series, Valentine’s Day, Star Power, Loco Love, as well as the upcoming horror movie Grudge, which she filmed with John Cho and Andrea Riseborough.

While Demián did not share the cause of death, his deep loss was felt through his final words about his wife. Please keep his and her families in your prayers.
