Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are just days away from saying their vows and the big day isn't approaching without its fair share of drama.
The royal wedding ceremony is taking place on May 19th at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds will take a carriage ride through the town of Windsor, before enjoying a luncheon hosted by the Queen. In the early evening, the couple will spend the night together at a selective reception hosted by Prince Charles.
The reception will host 250 family members and close friends, some of which are traveling from far away. But there is one family member that will not be joining for the happy couple for the reception, even though she only lives right down the road…
Sarah Ferguson is officially uninvited to her nephew’s wedding reception. And she's not happy about it.
While this isn’t entirely out of the blue, it’s absolutely disheartening to Sarah. The unique relationship between Sarah (more commonly known as Fergie) and the Royal Family has been in the spotlight for years. But now, she has been officially snubbed by her nephew and his bride to be.
While her marriage to Prince Harry’s uncle, Prince Andrew, ended nearly 22 years ago, she’s remained sharing a home with him. Furthermore, Prince Harry is exceptionally close with Fergie’s daughter, Princess Eugenie. To make matters worse, Fergie’s ex-husband and their children will be attending the wedding and the reception.
While this isn’t entirely out of the blue, it’s absolutely disheartening to Fergie. Her lack of yet another royal celebration invite is leaving her more than enraged. Since hearing of the royal snub, Fergie has been reported to be quite vocal about her rejection and has been making comments about snubbing the couple back when their time comes for an invitation to one of her events (i.e. her daughter, Princess Eugenie’s wedding in October).
With the wedding being just days away, it’s unlikely that the couple will make arrangements for her to join, especially given her threats to uninvite them to Princess Eugenie’s wedding days celebrations.
