The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have some of the busiest schedules in the world- and we’re not exaggerating! Between being the future King of England, William is the father of two littles while his wife, Duchess Kate, is only days out from expecting her third child. Between official events and international meetings, parenting two toddlers, and being in the final days of pregnancy, their schedules only get busier with each passing moment.
The Duchess has no easy life either; her duties are equally taxing and require all of her energy. She’s managed to get through her third pregnancy with radiant looks and grace, despite the fact that she’s been horribly sick with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). HG is a highly nauseating pregnancy disorder and poor Kate has experienced it in full swing with nearly all of her pregnancies.
Mix all of that with the busy schedules and the Duke and Duchess are sure to fall behind schedule every once in a while. That’s exactly what happened on Easter Sunday this year.
As the Queen greeted most of her family for an Easter church service at St. George’s Chapel, she couldn’t help but realize that some very important faces were missing. She peered around the corner for William and Kate but in an effort to not be tardy for the sentimental service, she walked into the chapel without them.
Several minutes after the Easter service started, the Duke and Duchess arrived at the chapel. While many of the other family members walked, William and Kate opted for a leisurely drive. The idea of walking down cobblestone didn’t exactly sound appealing to Kate, who was wearing nude pumps at 9 months pregnant (Can you blame her?)!
The Duke and Duchess didn’t waste much time before they walked into service. They knew that their tardiness would likely be frowned upon so they scurried in quickly.
After the service, however, the royal family members exited the church with full smiles! Apparently, their tardiness was forgiven! Having left their sweet kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte at home with Kate’s parents, Kate and William did the best they could to balance the business of the day.
Thankfully, they got off the hook, thanks to their Children and Baby #3! With two kids and one so close to arrival, arriving anywhere on time can be difficult, especially a big event like Easter!
Being late is something that is against the strict royal protocol. One must always be on time, especially for special events such as an Easter church service. Thankfully, Kate and William were forgiven due to their little ones.
Baby #3 is set to arrive in late April 2018 and we can hardly wait! We’re sure Kate is more than ready to meet her baby, especially with all of the hardship the little one has been putting her through this pregnancy.
