News of a Royal Wedding broke in late November 2017, when Prince Harry proposed to his American girlfriend, Meghan Markle. The wedding is set to take place in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.
Since news of the wedding spread, celebratory responses have swirled from coast-to-coast rejoicing over the engagement of the couple. Prince Harry, the late Princess Diana’s second-born, met Meghan two years ago and fell quickly for the American starlet.
After the engagement, the two did the post-engagement interview, a tradition that first came about by this prince’s mother and father. In the interview, the two appeared completely smitten with each other.
With the two being from completely different worlds, it’s only a matter of time before their differences surface. So far, they’ve had a pretty uneventful engagement. Their fan base spreads throughout the world and they’ve become quite a sensation.
In the mix of the craziness of being engaged, both Meghan and Harry have managed to balance this season pretty well, however, one request from The Queen and Parliament has caused a little bit of a setback for the Royal Couple.
Recently, Prince Harry was asked to consider signing a prenuptial agreement. While this isn’t completely out of the blue, it still came as a shock to Meghan. She said that she felt disrespected by The Queen. A source said that Meghan felt distrusted and that it hurt her feelings that The Queen would ever suspect she has ulterior motives. While The Queen’s request is well-intended, it’s understandable that it is hurtful to Meghan. However, with $40 million on the line, Her Majesty is only trying to take precautions to protect her grandson.
Whether or not the prenup will happen is completely up to Prince Harry and his bride. We know how The Queen feels, and how Meghan feels, so with Harry in the middle, only time will tell. What do you think?
