The word is finally out! At last, we have an answer to the question perched on the lips of everyone interested in the May 19th Royal wedding between Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle. We all know by now, that the Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth "any minute" and with her brother-in-law's wedding less than a month away, the question is a natural one in light of the unique circumstances.
We want to know what role the soon-to-be new mum, the Duchess of Cambridge could possibly fulfill so soon after the arrival of her third little prince or princess. If you've ever given birth, you know what I am talking about.
Between the demands of the delivery itself, to the inevitable sleepless nights in the days and weeks following, it's a miracle if you even find time to brush your teeth, much less attend a grand event that will have the eyes of the world on you. And with three children to take care of now, her days will be quite full, to say the least.
Speculation has run wild with suggestions anywhere from a bridesmaid to a spectator. Concern was raised as to how well she will feel after giving birth, especially if she goes late like she did with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Harry and Meghan wanted to give her a role of prominence, but with the uncertainty associated with Kate’s own “big day,” they decided to go another route.
According to a new story reported in The Cut, Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl shares that Meghan and Harry expect nothing at all from the Duchess as far as official duties at the event. The couple has “graciously told Middleton to relax during their May 19 wedding.
“Frankly Harry and Meghan are just happy that Kate will be there given she will only just have given birth,” a source told Vanity Fair. “They have told her there is no pressure on her to do anything, they just want her to enjoy the day.”
We could not agree more! We hope the Duchess has a safe delivery and that she bounces back to her old self just as soon as possible. And we look forward to seeing her (and maybe the new baby??) at noon on May 19th inside St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
