Many of us have been looking forward to the upcoming Autumn season for quite some time. The hot weather has seemingly worn out its welcome, and we’re more than ready for warm lattes, chunky-knit sweaters, and evenings spent curled up by the fireplace. When you think about it, there really isn’t a lot to complain about, is there? It’s the most wonderful season of the year! For the dry-skinned folks out there, though, the arrival of this crisp cool season is no reason to celebrate. They find themselves constantly slathering on layers of lotions to keep their hands from feeling scaly and cracked.
These folks always seem to ask the question, “Isn’t there a better way to solve this yearly dilemma?” The answer to that question has finally been revealed, and it’s “YES!” If you have a friend or loved one that struggles with seasonally dry skin, you should whip up this quick and easy DIY for them. I can guarantee that they’ll love you forever for this heartfelt gesture. The next time you’re at the Dollar Store or your local craft store, pick up a set of Mason jars. Then, swing by your grocery store and grab some lemons, sugar, and olive oil. That’s all you’ll need!
In your Mason jar, place 3/4 C. sugar. Next, add in 1/4 C. olive oil. Finally, pour in 1 Tbsp. freshly-squeezed lemon juice. Using a spoon, mix all three ingredients together until combined. Secure tightly with a lid and adorn with a pre-made label and a ribbon. Deliver to a beloved friend and watch her eyes light up with pure joy.
