The World’s Favorite Uncle Just Got Promoted To ‘Dad’ And The First Images Of His Baby Will Completely Melt Your Heart

April 18, 2018

The world knows him best as “Uncle Jesse.” He was the uncle every kid dreamt to have, making sure to make every moment filled with fun and excitement. Full House took the world by storm in the less-than-typical household where chaos, love, and laughter ran rampant.

Since the show’s end, John Stamos has yet to leave the spotlight. He’s continued to woo his fans for years through various television series. It seems as though the world will never tire of seeing Stamos on the screen.

Recently, he took to Instagram to announce his biggest achievement thus far: the 54-year-old now a proud daddy! In February, he married actress and model, Caitlin McHugh. On April 16, the couple welcomed their first child together. A dark-haired little boy entered the world, and their lives were forever changed.

Stamos posted his “promotion” on Instagram: “From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father) #NotJustAnUncleAnymore #Overjoyed.”

When McHugh broke the news to Stamos back in December of her pregnancy, his reaction was more than she could have ever imagined. “The look on John’s face when I told him we were pregnant was priceless. It was the look of a man who has wanted a family of his own but wasn’t sure it was going to happen for him. Now it is!”

Stamos paid a big tribute to his late father in the choosing of the name. “I had the best father in the world, and it kills me that my parents aren’t here to be part of this. But I know it probably wouldn’t be happening if they weren’t up there, you know.”

We couldn’t be more thrilled for the sweet little addition. We wish the best for the proud new parents!
