Check out these beautiful, unique baby girls. They are biracial twins, each favoring one of their parents. Everywhere they go, people are in awe of the fact that they are twins. Kalani is lighter-skinned with light eyes, while her sister, Jarani, is darker-skinned with dark eyes. Each twin is equally as beautiful and at the same uniquely gorgeous. I couldn't love this more.
The parents of the genetically-phenomenal twins were more-than-stunned by the birth of their girls. Whitney Meyer and Tomas Dean from Quincy, Illinois, were shocked to see the differences in the skin tones and eye colors of their twins.
As rare as it is, this not the first time something like this has happened. Sisters Lucy and Maria Aylmer, who just turned 18, are the first biracial twins to gain fame for their polar opposite looks. Maria has darker skin, brown eyes, and black curly hair; she also looks just like the rest of her siblings. Her sister, on the other hand, has fair skin, blue eyes, and straight red hair. From the time they were born, the girls have looked nothing alike.
Meyer recently said that she considers the girls a symbol against racism and a sign to love everyone equally. “You can’t look at one and not love them both,” she said. “They’re the same girl, just different colors.”
Dean said, “I was like, ‘Yeah, she’s a little light,’ but I thought maybe babies are that way when they’re first born. But then a couple of minutes later, her sister came out a little darker,” he said. “In a million years, I never thought I’d have a girl with blue eyes. I didn’t think I could pull that one off!”
These sisters are beyond special, and I hope that their uniqueness can serve to remind people not to judge someone solely on the color of their skin but by the content of their heart. What a beautiful picture they are of what truly matters most in this life. Check out the happy family all together, below!
