If you have heard of the Disney classic, "The Fox And The Hound," then you will love this unlikely animal friendship. One evening, a passing tourist finds a small fox in a puddle by the side of the road. The fox is only four-weeks-old and is extremely malnourished, so the traveler takes the tiny creature to a nearby veterinarian office. A wildlife ranger named Gary Zammit then takes the little fox home with him to nurse it back to health.

Gary notices that the fox doesn't have a tail so he, affectionately, names the cub "Forest Stump." The cuddly critter is soon healthy enough to run and play and makes his way out into the yard. Here he meets Barney, Gary's loving dog. Barney is also missing part of his tail. As if their missing tails brought them together, the two animals form an instant bond.

Barney and Forest spend as much time as they can together. The two are virtually inseparable and look out for each other. One thing is for sure; these two best friends were meant to find each other and, although Forest's life started out rough, he is now happy and healthy alongside his doggie-bestie, Barney. Watch the video, below, to see the animal friendship for yourself!
