This Royal Stole The Show By What She Chose To Wear At Commonwealth Day Service And The Reason Is Not What You’d Expect

March 13, 2018

Commonwealth Day is a highly celebrated occasion to celebrate the Commonwealth of Nations. It’s always celebrated on the second weekend of March and, this year fell on the 12th. A service is held at Westminster Abbey and is consistently attended by the British royal family since Queen Elizabeth is the Head of Commonwealth.

With the upcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, many anticipated all eyes to be on the gorgeous bride-to-be. Others assumed Kate Middleton would steal the spotlight in her continually spot-on maternity attire.

While the two garnered a great deal of attention with their perfectly tailored wardrobe choices, one other family member surprised the world with her outfit of choice. Princess Anne isn’t one to typically steal the attention of the media, but on Commonwealth Day, things changed.

Like the rest of the members of the family, Princess Anne has had a keen sense of elegant fashion over the years. This occasion surely was no different. When she stepped out in a cream jacket with navy detail, people stared in utter amazement. One blatantly obvious reason is that she looked breathtaking in her clothing. The other reason is that it was a quite familiar attire.

The Princess had worn this look before in the late 70’s and 80’s and decided to recycle the look. Along with the jacket, she wore the same hairstyle and pearl earrings. We don’t often see Royals recycling looks like this but, in this case, we can see just why she made the decision.

The jacket is anything but ordinary, and many are scrambling around to find similar styles for themselves! Way to be a trendsetter, Princess!
