A dog that no one wanted became nearly impossible to get overnight. Meet Eastwood, a 70-pound lovable labrador retriever who was in need of a former home.
He was abandoned at a local shelter and seemed to be continually overlooked. He was born with a leg defect, which was likely the reason he was abandoned and why he was having difficultly finding a family that would truly love him.
The shelter in which he was living, The Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, recently held their annual pet adoption event. Each year, their goal is for every single pet to find a happy and loving home.
Once the event was over, every single pet had found their perfect home. Well, every animal except for sweet old Eastwood. It was so heartbreaking for him to be the only one left.
He was the only animal left. He was likely overlooked because of the big medical bills that would follow him for his leg defect, which could cost upwards of $4,000.
