Tim Conway is a beloved actor, writer, director, and comedian! He has taken part in a large number of shows, but is perhaps best known for his work on “McHale’s Navy” and “The Carol Burnett Show.” Ever since he first graced our screens in 1958, he’s been winning over the hearts of fans who can’t help but fall in love with his goofy personality and entertaining jokes.

Tim was born on December 15, 1933, in a small suburb outside of Cleveland, Ohio. He was raised in nearby Chagrin Falls, and he often spent much of his time in school in detention or time-out thanks to his love of jokes. After High School, he attended Bowling Green State University where he studied speech and radio. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army.

After leaving the military, he got a job working on an NBC affiliate, KYW-TV, with Ernie Anderson. From there, he went to work on WJW-TV before moving on once again to the “Steve Allen Show” where he remained until the show ended. His real claim to fame began when he earned the role of Ensign Charles Parker in the sitcom McHale’s Navy.

In 1970, Tim worked with Joe Flynn, one of his co-stars from McHale’s Navy, to start his show that was called “The Tim Conway Show.” Sadly, the show only lasted from January to June in 1970 before being canceled. Luckily for him, it wasn’t long before he became a regular on The Carol Burnett Show. There, he often made his co-stars and audiences laugh uncontrollably with his silly antics.

When The Carol Burnett Show ended in 1978, he went on to work on a variety of other projects, including “The Tim Conway Show” (a sequel to his earlier show), “Ace Crawford: Private Eye,” “Tim Conway’s Funny America,” and even “Dorf.” In total, he’s worked on over 124 projects during his lifetime and has earned one Golden Globe, five Emmys, and even a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame!

Tim has been married twice during his life and has seven children. He married his first wife, Mary Anne Dalton, in 1961 and together, they had seven children, five boys, and two girls. They divorced in 1978, and he remained single until he remarried in 1984. He has been married to his second wife, Charlene Fusco since 1984, and it’s clear their love will last until the end of time. We hope that there are many years left to come of entertainment from this wonderful comedian and actor.
