Tossed Out Like Trash, This Chihuahua Finds Love In An Unexpected Place. See Where She Finds It

September 05, 2017

A college student at Santa Rosa Junior College Campus in California is walking past a dumpster when he hears the cries of a puppy. The student immediately jumps in to save the small chihuahua, and takes her to Sonoma County Animal Services.

They name the abandoned puppy Darla. She is not in good condition; both front legs are broken and she needs cast on both of them. Darla will need to undergo many surgeries in the near future, but doctors are hopeful for the once-abandoned puppy, and believe she has a bright future ahead of her.

Darla is currently at a foster home of a volunteer at the shelter until she is fully recovered. Once she is ready, Darla will be put up for adoption and placed in a loving, forever home. We are so grateful for the student who jumped in the dumpster to save her life.
